UBC Thunderbird Arena

The University of British Columbia’s Thunderbird Arena is a prime example of efficiency, adaptability, sustainability and lasting legacy. This LEED silver certified multi-use facility has 5,033 permanent seats, another 1,800 temporary seats in the main rink, and was utilized for the 2010 Olympic ice hockey games. 93,000 Basalite Precision CMUs were selected for this project.
